We just ordered a really great server for our SalinasRadio stream! Once we get it in (we expect it in 1-2 weeks) we should have it up and running in a day or two. Keep an eye on the site and get ready for some great streaming music.
Hear that bands? We’ll soon have a dedicated machine streaming YOUR music. Feel free to send any more songs, and permission to use them for free (for promo!), to Mike@SalinasRadio.com
To any geeks reading, the server is a Dual Xeon 2.8GHz with 5GB of RAM. More than enough to handle a few (different quality) streams.
Trusting Lucy will be playing at the London Bridge Pub from 9:30PM to 1:00AM. The Pub is located on 256 Figueroa St, Wharf #2, Monterey, CA 93940. You can call them at 831.372.0581 or visit them at www.lbpmonterey.com.
Here’s what Linda had to say about the show,
Lisa and I will be performing as an acoustic guitar duo, our original songs and even a few cover songs from our favorite artists. London Bridge has expanded into the entire first floor of our building with TWO outdoor heated patios, and increased seating inside. Relax and enjoy the view either into the harbor area, or across to Del Monte Beach while ordering from their full bar and their famous fish and chips, burgers.
Duo plays 9:30pm to 1:00am

We’ve got some great new stuff coming up for all of you. I know it’s been a while since our last update, so this one is going to be BIG. We’ll not only have new songs in the On Demand player, (How many? In the HUNDREDS,) but we’ll also have some great new artists, and new genres coming up. Keep an eye on SalinasRadio.com. You won’t want to miss these updates.
After a LONG move, SalinasRadio is finally back up and running! We still aren’t 100%, but we’re off to a good start! While our live streams are not yet up and running, our On Demand Player is working fine. Given the amount of popularity the On Demand Player has gained, and the current generation of listeners we are entertaining, we may even work towards making all of our music available On Demand and do away with the live streams all together. We’ll see.
For now though, we’ll work on getting the streams back up, getting some new bands promoted, featuring some new music in our On Demand Player, and hopefully setting up some more shows!

The music, and band name, symbolizes “Positivity”. It’s a message with a strong sense for finding one’s own happiness, balanced with thoughtful awareness. With hypnotic grooves and satisfying positive vibes, OMANI‘s uplifting reggae music makes you think, makes you wanna move, and makes you have a good time.
Performing mainly original songs, as well as spontaneous improvisational dub jams, yet sometimes also a tasty selection of a few cover songs by Dennis Brown, Tenor Saw, Bob Marly, and even the Eagles, and Steve Miller.
This band does not rely on stereotypical tactics such as fakin’ jamaican patois, preaching the bible, or singing about ganja. Instead they provide the audience with a broad texture of sound featuring catchy hooks, horn lines, and vocal harmonies, delivered with a contagious and familiar yet refreshing feeling of pure musical pleasure.
The last time OMANI performed in Monterey was for the 14th annual Monterey Bay Reggaefest on Labor Day weekend 2009.
